Defeat to Port FC: Bojan Hodak reveals Persib’s main goal in President’s Cup

Bojan Hodak – Persib Bandung’s head coach – showed no disappointment after his team’s 0-2 defeat to Port FC in the 2025 President’s Cup opening match at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.

Maung Bandung fielded six new players in their starting lineup:

• Hamra Hehanussa
• Saddil Ramdani
• Luciano Guaycochea
• Wiliam Marcilio
• Uilliam Barros

The visitors took the lead through Bordin Phala’s goal at the end of first half – despite Persib having earlier chances through Zulkifli Lukmansyah and Uilliam Barros.

In the second half, Persib rotated their squad by bringing on all substitutes – except Welsh goalkeeper Adam Przybek. This strategy indicated that victory was not the team’s main priority in this match.
