Dean James shares impressions of playing for Indonesian National Team

Go Ahead Eagles defender Dean James shared his experience representing Indonesian National Team in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asian Zone — after being called up by coach Patrick Kluivert.

The Garuda Squad played two matches with different results — defeating China 1-0 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium and suffering a heavy 0-6 loss to Japan in Osaka.

Dean James who didn’t play against China but featured in the Japan match — expressed his admiration for Indonesian supporters’ atmosphere at GBK Stadium.

“The supporters’ atmosphere at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium was absolutely incredible,” James stated.
