Davide Tardozzi: Marc Marquez Is the King of MotoGP Qatar

Ducati Lenovo team manager Davide Tardozzi has heaped praise on Marc Marquez, calling him the king of MotoGP following his outstanding performance at the Qatar Grand Prix two weeks ago.

“Marc was lapping at 52.5 and 52.6 seconds for the last four or five laps before the finish line. That shows who the real king is,” said Tardozzi.

The Spanish rider recorded the fastest lap of the MotoGP Qatar race with a time of 1:52.561, leaving his rivals nearly a second behind during the final phase. Maverick Vinales of Red Bull KTM Tech3 tried to close the gap, but was penalized for tire pressure violations.

Tardozzi also praised fellow Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia, who finished second after starting from 11th on the grid.
