David Hancko Cancels Al Nassr Move, Chooses Atletico Madrid

Slovakia national team defender David Hancko has made a surprising decision by canceling his move to Al Nassr and choosing to join Atletico Madrid instead.

The 27-year-old player had previously reached an agreement with the Saudi Arabian club — with a transfer value of 35 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses that would have made him the most expensive defender in Al Nassr’s history.

Although renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano had confirmed the move, the situation changed dramatically when Hancko arrived at Al Nassr’s pre-season camp in Saalfelden, Austria — which left Feyenoord disappointed with the club’s treatment.

Former teammate of Kevin Diks at Feyenoord has represented the Dutch club for three seasons before finally deciding to continue his career in La Liga with Atletico Madrid.
