David da Silva bids farewell to Persib supporters

According to Tribun Jabar, David da Silva officially ends his tenure with Persib Bandung ahead of Liga 1 2025/2026 — despite hoping to remain with the club.

The Brazilian striker was once Maung Bandung’s goal-scoring machine and claimed the Liga 1 top scorer title in 2023/2024 season — but his performance declined in the following season as Tyronne del Pino emerged.

Both forwards have now been confirmed not to extend their contracts with Persib — club management opts to seek new alternatives in the attacking line.

“Hello Bobotoh, it feels strange writing this now. But the time has come,” Da Silva wrote on his personal Instagram.

“I wanted to stay longer with you all, but it’s time to take a new path,” he added in his farewell message to supporters.
