David Beckham finally receives knighthood from King Charles

David Beckham — the legendary former England captain — has been awarded a knighthood in King Charles’ Birthday Honours List, as reported by Buckingham Palace.

This prestigious honor recognizes Beckham’s two-decade dedication to sports and charitable work — including his role as ambassador for UNICEF and The King’s Foundation.

The 50-year-old Beckham has an impressive career record — accumulating 115 appearances for England and six Premier League titles with Manchester United.

  • England captain 59 times
  • Played for elite clubs including Real Madrid and PSG
  • Owner of Inter Miami and Salford City
  • UNICEF ambassador since 2005
  • King’s Foundation ambassador since last year

Following this award, Beckham’s wife — Victoria — is entitled to use the courtesy title “Lady Beckham” if using her husband’s surname.

Among other sports figures honored alongside Beckham — Olympic gold medalist Alistair Brownlee and former tennis player Virginia Wade were awarded CBE.
