Darren Leung advances to Le Mans Hyperpole after dramatic qualifying session

Darren Leung of United Autosports 95 team secured a spot in the Hyperpole session of LMGT3 class at 24 Hours of Le Mans — despite facing a dramatic qualifying session interrupted by two red flags.

During the 30-minute qualifying session, Leung immediately showed solid performance by setting a 3:58.977 time for ninth position. However, the situation changed when Iron Linx team’s Mercedes-AMG number 60 driven by Andrew Gilbert stopped on track — forcing the first red flag.

After the session resumed with 15 minutes remaining, several teams improved their times — pushing United Autosports 95 to position 12. Leung showed improvement in Sector 1, but his effort was halted when Richard Mille AF Corse 150 team’s Ferrari 296 driven by Custodio Toledo encountered issues on track.
