Daniel Suarez faces uncertain future in NASCAR Cup Series next season

Daniel Suarez will end his partnership with Trackhouse Racing Team after five years together — a decision that leaves the Mexican driver’s future in NASCAR Cup Series uncertain.

Suarez’s NASCAR Cup Series career has been full of dynamics — starting as the first non-American NASCAR Xfinity Series champion, followed by sudden promotion to Joe Gibbs Racing, then joining Stewart-Haas Racing before finally becoming Trackhouse Racing’s first driver.

For the 2026 season, several options available to Suarez include:

  • Legacy Motor Club planning to add third car
  • Spire Motorsports evaluating Justin Haley’s performance
  • Kaulig Racing with Ty Dillon’s uncertain future
  • Possible return to Xfinity Series replacing Connor Zilisch at JR Motorsports

However, most major teams have locked in their driver lineups for the 2026 season — making Suarez’s chances of securing a competitive seat very limited.
