Dani Carvajal ready to play in any position for Real Madrid

Dani Carvajal, Real Madrid’s captain, has expressed his readiness to play in various positions within Xabi Alonso’s tactical scheme — following his recovery from an ACL injury suffered nine months ago.

The 33-year-old right-back revealed his admiration for the tactical flexibility implemented by his new coach.

“The coach is bringing real versatility with Tchouaméni’s position. I’ll play anywhere, even between the posts. I’ve played at centre-back, left-back, on the wing — I’m always ready for whatever the coach asks,” said Carvajal.

Madrid has strengthened their squad ahead of the tournament in the United States by signing:

• Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool
• Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth

Ahead of the round of 16 match against Juventus, Carvajal shared insights about his improving physical condition.

“On a personal level, I feel great. I’m back in the team dynamics. I know if I’m given the chance to play, I’ll give 100% out there. No fear, confidence is sky high,” he added.
