D4v4i Reacts to Mindfreak’s Departure Announcement

d4v4i and Paper Rex 2024

Paper Rex player Khalish “d4v4i” Rusyaidee recently commented on his longtime teammate Aaron “mindfreak” Leonheart’s decision to leave the Valorant team soon.

After PRX’s win over T1 this afternoon, d4v4i addressed questions about mindfreak’s status. He admitted it’s tough to part ways with a teammate he’s been with since they first met in the CSGO scene before moving to Valorant together.

Still, d4v4i believes mindfreak has what it takes to compete at a high level and hopes he quickly finds a top team that suits his playstyle.

“I think he’s not just a teammate, but also like a family to me. We’ve been going through a lot of things as friends for so many years. We achieved so many good things despite where we came from. So I’ll cherish those moments and hopefully he’s going to join a very good team that can take care of him like us.”

As previously announced, mindfreak was moved to the bench and replaced by Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza during Stage 1 last March. The veteran Sentinel is now open to offers from other teams as he still wants to compete in top-tier circuit.
