The Spanish Sports Ministry (CSD) has permitted Dani Olmo and Pau Victor to continue their careers at Barcelona until the end of this season.

CSD granted temporary registrations to both players in January while evaluating Barcelona‘s appeal against LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF)‘s decision to revoke their registration status.

LaLiga stated that Barcelona not only missed the December 31 deadline to prove their financial compliance but also never had the capacity to register Olmo and Victor within the league-imposed spending limit.

However, CSD ruled that the players have a “right to work” and, therefore, determined that Barcelona can continue fielding them until the end of the season.

This decision provides Barcelona with much-needed squad stability as they continue to compete in multiple competitions. It also sets a precedent for future cases where administrative rulings could impact player registrations mid-season.
