Crystallis Shares Tips on Dota 2 Patch 7.38c Meta

Remco “Crystallis” Arets, the carry player for Tundra Esports, recently shared his thoughts on the current carry meta in Dota 2’s Patch 7.38c. He highlighted that several previously underrated heroes have emerged as strong picks for aggressive team compositions.

During his latest Twitch livestream, Crystallis singled out Nature’s Prophet and Terrorblade as key heroes worth considering for teams aiming to optimize their strategies in the current meta.

I won’t name them all because some of you wouldn’t expect, but they are Templar Assassin,  Nature’s Prophet, even Terrorblade, even though it’s silly.”

These picks may seem questionable at first glance, given their sub-40% win rates in competitive play. While Nature’s Prophet offers flexibility, its effectiveness heavily depends on situational itemization. Terrorblade, on the other hand, is often criticized for its perceived low mechanical complexity.

However, Crystallis emphasized that a hero’s success ultimately hinges on team draft strategies. This perspective appears validated by the rising pick rates of both heroes in recent tournaments, including ESL One Raleigh 2025 and the ongoing PGL Wallachia Season 4.
