Cristiano Ronaldo admits Portugal was lucky to reach UEFA Nations League semifinals

Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledged that the Portugal National Team was fortunate to advance to the UEFA Nations League 2024-2025 semifinals after a hard-fought victory over Denmark.

The team, known as Seleção das Quinas, faced a tough challenge after suffering a defeat in the first leg of the quarter-finals.

In the match held at Parken Stadium, Denmark secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a second-half goal from Rasmus Højlund.

“We were indeed worried after the first-leg result,” Ronaldo admitted during a press conference at José Alvalade Stadium.

The Portugal captain made these remarks ahead of the decisive second-leg match, set to take place on home soil.
