Courtois defends Donnarumma over Musiala’s horror injury

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has come to the defense of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was blamed for causing Jamal Musiala’s severe injury.

The incident occurred when Donnarumma attempted to secure the ball at the end of the first half — resulting in a fatal collision with the left ankle of the 22-year-old Bayern Munich player.

The impact caused Musiala to suffer a fibula fracture, leading to intense criticism of the Italian national team goalkeeper from various parties.

“It was a situation where you don’t need to do something like that. It was a risk-taking,” said Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
