Concacaf clears Canada coach Jesse Marsch of misconduct allegations

Concacaf has announced the results of an investigation into alleged violations involving the Canadian national team coach. Jesse Marsch has been cleared of accusations regarding the use of abusive language towards Gold Cup officials.

While clearing Marsch, the regional football body imposed a fine on the Canada Soccer Association — related to security protocol violations for accredited delegates and anti-doping procedures.

Marsch who missed the 6-0 victory over Honduras and the 1-1 draw against Curacao — will return to lead the team in tonight’s Group B match against El Salvador in Houston.

The 51-year-old coach has an extensive football background — having coached at various clubs including Montreal Impact, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig, and Leeds United.
