Colwill: Chelsea Ready to Dominate Premier League and Champions League

Levi Colwill expressed his confidence after Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the Club World Cup final in New Jersey.

Cole Palmer scored twice and João Pedro added another goal — leading Chelsea to their first world club championship in the tournament’s new format.

“I said at the start of this tournament that our plan is to win it and people looked at me as if I was crazy,” stated Colwill. “So I’m going to say the exact same thing now going into the Premier League and Champions League.”

The young Chelsea defender believes this trophy will be bigger than the Champions League — despite the tournament receiving attention for low attendance numbers and challenging weather conditions.

“It was a statement victory and, in the future, if we keep winning trophies then everyone will give us the love that we deserve,” added Colwill.

The 22-year-old also compared the current squad to Chelsea legends like John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Didier Drogba — asserting that their young team is ready to continue the club’s legacy of success.

Chelsea will begin their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace on August 17.
