After hundreds of defeats in major circuit, BetBoom finally lifted the trophy at PGL Wallachia Season 5 as they took down rival Gaimin Gladiators in the Grand Finals early this morning. Their victory was nothing sort of impressive, given their underdog status and the absence of a head coach.

Held in Bucharest, Romania, from June 21 to 29, 2025, BetBoom struggled in the early stages and was underestimated by many fans. However, they showcased remarkable mental toughness and solid gameplay throughout the tournament, defeating top teams like NAVI, Team Spirit, and Team Liquid on their way to the finals.

This set up an intense best-of-five Grand Final against GG. BB took a quick lead, winning the first two games with strong strategies. GG fought back with a balanced draft to take game three.

The decisive fourth game was a long and fierce battle. But clutch late-game plays led by Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko crushed GG’ hopes, securing a 3-1 victory for his team.

This win stunned viewers, as BB was the only team competing without a coach. However, this situation was temporary as their head coach Anatoly “Boolk” Ivanov was unable to attend due to visa issues.
