PBSI women’s doubles coach Nitya Krishinda Maheswari has made a bold strategic move by separating the long-standing pair of Apriyani Rahayu and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti. The decision is aimed at refreshing Indonesia’s women’s doubles lineup ahead of key international tournaments.

Apriyani Rahayu, who has recently recovered from injury, will now partner with Febi Setianingrum. Their debut is set for Taipei Open 2025 next month. PBSI clarified that the decision was not due to health concerns but instead based on the potential for stronger tactical compatibility.

Febi’s aggressive backcourt style and powerful smashes are seen as more in tune with Apriyani’s current rhythm and physical condition.

Meanwhile, Siti Fadia has developed promising chemistry with Lanny Tria Mayasari — the duo already claimed a BWF World Tour title at the Thailand Masters 2025, solidifying their credentials as a strong new pairing for Indonesia.

This reshuffle is part of PBSI’s broader strategy to maximize medal chances, improve synergy among top-level players, and prepare for Olympic qualification events later this season.
