Classic F1 Car Steering Wheel Theft at Silverstone Caught on CCTV

Northamptonshire Police are seeking information about a man captured on CCTV stealing a classic F1 car steering wheel — an incident that occurred during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit.

The steering wheel was taken from one of the classic cars on display as part of a tribute to Eddie Jordan — where former F1 drivers including Martin Brundle, Damon Hill, and Johnny Herbert were present for demonstration runs.

“The incident happened at about 2:30 PM when the steering wheel was removed from a vehicle that was on display at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix,” stated the police report.

In a separate development, three YouTubers — AngryGinge, Chazza, and SamHam — were detained over suspected F1 car damage on the same day. They were held for 15 hours before being released without charges after thorough investigation.

Police request anyone who recognizes the man in the CCTV footage to call 101, quoting incident number 25000390674.
