Ciro Alves Open to Naturalization After Leaving Persib

According to Bolasport.com, Ciro Alves has expressed openness to becoming an Indonesian citizen (WNI) — although there’s no confirmation yet on whether he might join the Indonesia national football team.

The 35-year-old striker recently announced his departure from Persib Bandung after the 2024/25 Liga 1 season, prompting emotional reactions from Bobotoh supporters who hope he will be naturalized to occupy a local player slot.

His wife, Maria Eduarda Mondadori, has shown full support for the idea.

“We want to start a business here, we bought a house, and we want to stay in Indonesia,” said Maria during a TikTok live session.
