China Announces Squad for World Cup Qualifier Match Against Indonesia

The Chinese Football Association (CFA) has officially announced the national team squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Indonesia and Bahrain. The announcement was made on Thursday, May 22.

Head coach, Branko Ivankovic, has named a strong and competitive squad, reinforcing key positions with three recently approved naturalized players: Jiang Guangtai, Serginho, and Yang Mingyang — the latter having just received FIFA clearance to represent China internationally.

China’s attacking line will be led by Zhang Yuning, who was instrumental in their previous 2-0 victory over Indonesia in Qingdao, scoring the second goal of the match.
