China Reshuffles Mixed Doubles Lineup Ahead of US Open 2025

The Chinese Badminton Association (CBA) is preparing to conduct new experiments with their mixed doubles formation at the US Open 2025 — a BWF World Tour Super 300 event scheduled for June 24-29.

China’s dominance in mixed doubles has declined since the end of the Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong era. Despite having two pairs ranked in the world’s top two, Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping and Jiang Zhen Bang/Wei Ya Xin — their performance has not shown the expected consistency.

CBA previously attempted a reshuffle at the All England Open 2025, fielding Feng Yan Zhe/Wei Ya Xin who reached the finals. However, the results of this new combination have yet to make a significant impact on the team’s overall achievements.
