China drops in FIFA rankings ahead of match against Indonesia

According to FIFA’s latest release, the Chinese National Team has experienced a significant decline in world rankings — dropping four positions to 94th compared to their previous ranking in December 2024.

This ranking decrease follows the Great Wall team’s consecutive losses in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. They fell 0-2 to Australia and surrendered 0-1 to Saudi Arabia during the March international break.

These disappointing results have also impacted China’s position in Asia — they have now slipped to 14th place among AFC member nations. This situation presents a unique challenge for China as they prepare to face the Indonesian National Team in the near future.
