Chico Lorenzo Surprised by Quartararo’s Performance at Spanish GP

Chico Lorenzo, father of MotoGP legend Jorge Lorenzo, expressed his amazement at Fabio Quartararo’s impressive performance at the Spanish GP — the recent race at Jerez Circuit.

The Monster Energy Yamaha rider made an incredible comeback by securing pole position, despite the YZR-M1 motorcycle still facing various performance issues. Unfortunately, misfortune struck Quartararo during the Sprint race, which ended in a crash.

However, in the main race, the 2021 MotoGP champion managed to bounce back and finished in second place — right behind Alex Marquez from Gresini Racing, who claimed his first-ever victory. This achievement marks Quartararo’s first podium since last year’s Indonesian GP.
