Chen Yu Fei Withdraws from Indonesia Open 2025

Chen Yu Fei — the defending champion of the women’s singles at the Indonesia Open — has surprisingly withdrawn from the 2025 tournament’s quarterfinals.

The Chinese shuttler was scheduled to face her compatriot Han Yue at Istora Senayan, but she did not appear due to an undisclosed injury.

“My target is, of course, to win and get back on the podium,” Chen said two days before her withdrawal.

China still has hopes in the women’s singles through:

• Han Yue, who has advanced to the semifinals
• Gao Fang Jie, who will face Wang Zhi Yi in the quarterfinals.

This withdrawal is a setback for Chen, who had just returned to competition in February after a one-and-a-half-year hiatus from the international circuit.
