Chelsea Win 2024–2025 UEFA Conference League

Chelsea made history by winning the 2024–2025 UEFA Europa Conference League, further cementing the dominance of Premier League clubs in European competitions.

The UEFA Conference League, launched four years ago, was originally designed for clubs from smaller leagues. However, it has instead been dominated by teams from Europe’s top leagues.

In the past four seasons, only Olympiacos of Greece has broken that dominance — defeating Fiorentina in last year’s final held in Athens.

The rivalry between Premier League and Serie A clubs has been a central storyline in the competition:

• Both leagues have always had a representative in the semifinals
• Italian clubs reached the final in the first three seasons
• AS Roma became the inaugural champions after defeating Feyenoord in Tirana
