Chelsea suffers 1-3 defeat to Flamengo in Club World Cup

According to FIFA’s official website, Chelsea suffered a heavy defeat against Flamengo with a score of 1-3 in the Group D match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup held at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.

The Brazilian side showed dominant performance — controlling the game with 56 percent ball possession. Shot statistics also demonstrated Flamengo’s superiority with 13 attempts including 9 on target, while Chelsea only managed 8 shots with 3 hitting the target.

The first threat of the match came from Flamengo defender Ayrton Lucas — unleashing a long-range shot that was safely handled by Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez in the fifth minute of the game.
