Chelsea responds quickly to Maresca’s complaints about winger shortage

Ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match against Los Angeles FC, Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca highlighted the issue of winger shortage in his team.

“As you know, Misha (Mykhaylo Mudryk) is not with us. Currently we have Noni (Madueke), Pedro (Neto) and Ty (Tyrique George) as pure wingers,” Maresca stated during the press conference.

The 45-year-old coach emphasized the need for additional wingers — Chelsea management immediately responded by searching for new talent from the French League.

“Something will certainly happen. We’ve said repeatedly, when the transfer window opens, anything can happen,” added the former Leicester City manager.
