Chelsea prepares to release 15 players after Club World Cup victory

Chelsea plans to undertake a major squad overhaul following their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup triumph, according to The Athletic.

Enzo Maresca‘s team — which just secured a 114.6 million euro prize from the FIFA tournament victory — will release 15 players in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Raheem Sterling — the 30-year-old winger currently targeted by Newcastle United — is included in The Blues’ selling list, with Juventus also showing interest in the wide player.

Despite earning approximately 2.18 trillion rupiah from their Club World Cup success, Chelsea views player sales as a crucial step to strengthen the club’s finances.
