According to Bolasport.com, Enzo Maresca has made a decision that could result in FIFA sanctions for Chelsea at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup — the tournament currently taking place in the United States.

The Blues — who qualified through their 2020-2021 Champions League victory — are placed in Group D alongside three other clubs:

• Los Angeles FC (CONCACAF)
• Flamengo (CONMEBOL)
• ES Tunis (CAF)

Following their 2-0 victory over Los Angeles FC two days ago, Maresca plans to rotate players for the remaining two matches — a decision that could invite sanctions from FIFA as the tournament organizer.
