Chelsea defeat LAFC in Club World Cup, Adrian Wibowo unused substitute

Chelsea secured their opening victory in Group D of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup — defeating Los Angeles FC 2-0 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Adrian Wibowo, a player of Indonesian descent representing LAFC, did not get playing time despite being named in the substitute list. The 19-year-old striker born in the United States had to watch his team’s defeat from the bench.

The Blues took the lead in the 34th minute through Pedro Neto who successfully converted an assist from Nicolas Jackson. Chelsea extended their advantage in the second half with a goal from Enzo Fernandez.

In another match from the same group, Flamengo managed to defeat African representatives ES Tunis.
