Chelsea advance to Club World Cup round of 16 after defeating Esperance

Chelsea secured their place in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup round of 16 after defeating Esperance 3-0 at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.

Enzo Maresca’s side dominated the match — The Blues’ three goals were scored by Tosin Adarabioyo and Liam Delap in first-half injury time, and Tyrique George in the closing stages.

Chelsea collected 6 points in Group D — enough to secure the runner-up position behind Flamengo who had already clinched the group title.
