Chase Elliott Ends Victory Drought at Home Track

Chase Elliott achieved a remarkable feat in front of his home crowd — the Hendrick Motorsports driver won the NASCAR Cup Series race in Atlanta, Georgia with a dramatic last-lap overtake.

The race at EchoPark Speedway was filled with tension — Elliott’s No. 9 Chevrolet only sustained minor damage with a donut mark on the driver’s door.

“What a crazy race,” said Elliott who took the lead with an inside move at Turn 1. “This is unbelievable… absolutely unbelievable. How about that? I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life.”

His teammate Alex Bowman finished third after helping secure Elliott’s victory, while Brad Keselowski had to settle for second place.

The race was marked by various incidents — light rain caused a 20-minute delay early in the race, followed by a massive 23-car pileup in the second stage. Top drivers including Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, and William Byron were forced to end their race early.

The final 30 laps proved decisive — several drivers took turns leading before Elliott claimed victory at the perfect moment. This win marks his 20th career victory in the NASCAR Cup Series.
