Chase Briscoe faces Noah Gragson in $1 million NASCAR tournament

Chase Briscoe will face off against Noah Gragson in a new five-week NASCAR tournament with a $1 million prize — adding a fresh dimension to these summer races.

The tournament features 32 drivers paired into 16 matchups for the first round, where the driver finishing higher at Atlanta advances to the next stage.

“It’s going to be a very unique race. I’ve never been in a head-to-head situation with just one other guy. Even in the Playoffs, you’re only racing against 15 or 11 other guys, never one-on-one,” Briscoe stated.

Atlanta’s track serves as an equalizer — giving every team a chance to win regardless of their resources. Briscoe acknowledges that while Gragson isn’t with a powerhouse team, this drafting-style track gives him an equal opportunity to compete.

“Noah’s not at one of the powerhouse teams, but when he comes here, he can be right in the mix. Front Row cars qualified on the front row here last year,” added Briscoe.

This head-to-head format won’t significantly impact team strategies since it doesn’t affect the championship, but it adds an interesting competitive element between the two drivers.
