Dani Carvajal Speaks about Real Madrid’s Future after Ancelotti

As Carlo Ancelotti prepares for his final match in charge of Real Madrid, veteran right-back Dani Carvajal has spoken candidly about the club’s future direction — possibly under former Madrid star Xabi Alonso, according to Marca.

“Xabi Will Do Very Well,” Says Carvajal

“Though it’s not official yet, it looks like Xabi will be coming,” said Carvajal, referring to Xabi Alonso, who is expected to take over after Ancelotti departs for the Brazil national team.

“Xabi has just had two fantastic seasons with Bayer Leverkusen, and I think he will do very well. He knows this club better than anyone. He’s defended the badge for many years — both on and off the pitch.”

Carvajal acknowledged that Real Madrid has not secured any major silverware this season, but believes Xabi’s leadership could spark a new era for the club.

Trent Alexander-Arnold Rumors & ACL Recovery

When asked about the rumored arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Carvajal responded positively.

“Competition is always healthy. If Trent comes, it will bring out the best in both of us,” said the 33-year-old.

He also confirmed that he is making progress in recovering from his ACL injury, and expects to rejoin training with the squad during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Grimaldo Keen on Madrid Move

Meanwhile, Alejandro Grimaldo, the Leverkusen left-back who enjoyed a standout season under Alonso, has expressed interest in a move to Real Madrid.

“My relationship with Xabi has always been very good. He knows I went to Leverkusen because of him,” said the 26-year-old Spaniard, hinting at a possible reunion if Alonso takes the reins at the Bernabéu.
