Carlos Cuesta becomes youngest Serie A coach after leaving Arsenal

Carlos Cuesta has been officially appointed as Parma’s new head coach — setting a record as the current youngest manager in Serie A.

The Mallorca-born coach previously spent five years as Mikel Arteta’s assistant at Arsenal — starting his career there at age 24.

Despite being only 29 years old, Cuesta already has extensive coaching experience — having started his career at age 18.

The Serie A youngest coach record held by Cuesta will be short-lived — he will turn 30 when Serie A 2025-26 season begins this August, returning the record to Elio Loschi.
