Carlos Alcaraz Claims Queen’s Club Title, Strengthens Grip on Year-End No. 1 Spot

Jakarta – Reigning Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz sent a strong message ahead of his title defense, clinching the Queen’s Club Championships for the second consecutive year with a hard-fought win over Jiri Lehecka, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

With this victory, the 21-year-old Spaniard captures his fifth ATP title in 2025 and cements his lead at the top of the ATP Race to Turin, now holding a 2,240-point advantage over rival Jannik Sinner in the battle for year-end No. 1.

Alcaraz’s powerful serve and signature forehand proved too much for Lehecka, who was contesting his first ATP 500 final. Despite dropping the second set, Alcaraz showed poise under pressure to close out the decider with a clutch break at 5-5.

Now riding a wave of momentum, Alcaraz heads into Wimbledon 2025 as the favorite, with his grass-court prowess and championship mindset on full display.
