Carlo Pernat: Bagnaia’s Ducati Seat Still Safe

According to Italian MotoGP pundit Carlo Pernat, Francesco Bagnaia still has a secure place in the factory Ducati team — despite struggling to keep up with teammate Marc Marquez this season.

After six rounds, the performance of the 2022 and 2023 MotoGP champion has been underwhelming. Marc Marquez has dominated all sprint races and claimed three victories in main races, while Bagnaia has only won once.

Bagnaia’s challenge is compounded by fierce competition from Gresini Racing’s Alex Marquez. The Marquez brothers have emerged as a strong threat to the 28-year-old rider in the 2025 MotoGP season.

Nevertheless, Carlo Pernat emphasized that Bagnaia remains in a favorable position — equipped with the most competitive Ducati bike and the motivating presence of a world-class teammate like Marc Marquez.
