According to ESPN Brasil, Carlo Ancelotti has once again emerged as the top candidate to coach the Brazil national football team. The move follows the dismissal of Dorival Junior by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) last month.

Although Ancelotti is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2026, his position is reportedly under pressure after the club was eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal with a 5-1 aggregate score.

The CBF has sent representatives to Madrid to initiate discussions with Ancelotti’s camp, including his son Davide Ancelotti. However, both sides have agreed not to make any decisions until the Italian coach’s future at Real Madrid is clarified.

“There is nothing to say. We will talk at the end of the season,” said Ancelotti when asked about his future.

Two Brazilian players at Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, are said to support Ancelotti’s potential appointment. Nevertheless, CBF is also considering Jorge Jesus from Al Hilal as an alternative.
