Carlo Ancelotti to Discuss His Future at Real Madrid

According to ESPN, Carlo Ancelotti will soon meet with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez to discuss his departure from the club.

This meeting comes after Real Madrid suffered a 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final and were eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal with a 5-1 aggregate. In LaLiga, Real Madrid are still four points behind the top spot with five matches remaining.

Although he has a contract until 2026, the Italian coach’s future remains uncertain — especially after discussions with the Brazilian Football Confederation about managing the Brazil national football team.

“Whether I will continue at Real Madrid is a matter for the coming weeks, not today,” said Carlo Ancelotti during a press conference following the defeat to Barcelona.

For a temporary replacement ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup in June, several internal candidates are being considered:
