Car No. 44 NY Racing fails inspection three times at Pocono

NY Racing faced a significant setback at Pocono Raceway — their No. 44 Chevrolet failed to pass inspection three times before finally clearing on the fourth attempt.

Brennan Poole, who will drive the No. 44 for the first time since last year, received a series of heavy sanctions:

  • Must start from the back of the field
  • Required to serve pass-through penalty after green flag
  • Car chief ejected from the track
  • Lost pit selection privileges

Technical issues also affected other teams at Pocono — Josh Berry with the No. 21 Wood Brothers Ford suffered a broken rear diffuser, while Cody Ware in the No. 51 Rick Ware Racing Ford crashed during practice.

NY Racing, having competed in six races this season with drivers J.J. Yeley and Derek Kraus, hopes to turn things around despite facing severe challenges at the start of this race weekend.
