Capello Slams Inzaghi After Inter’s Heavy Loss to Milan

Fabio Capello has launched a scathing critique of Simone Inzaghi following Inter Milan’s heavy defeat to AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semifinal.

In the second leg held at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Inter — playing at home — were thrashed 3-0 by their city rivals, crashing out with a 1-4 aggregate loss.

The legendary coach — who once managed Milan, Real Madrid, and the England national team — dismissed fatigue as an excuse for Inter’s poor showing.

“The problem wasn’t fatigue. It was the wrong starting XI. Inzaghi made a tactical mistake from the very beginning,” said Capello.

The loss ends Inter Milan’s hopes of achieving a treble this season, having previously remained in contention across three competitions.
