Indonesian national team defender Calvin Verdonk has revealed his intention to resume his career abroad after a strong stint with Dutch side NEC Nijmegen.

The Acehnese descent player has been with NEC Nijmegen since 2021, following a brief spell in Portugal’s Primeira Liga with Famalicao during the 2020–2021 season. His time in Portugal was less than ideal, making just 13 appearances before being loaned to NEC at the start of the 2021/2022 season.

His impressive performances during the loan spell led NEC Nijmegen to sign him permanently for the 2022/2023 season.

Now, after two full seasons with NEC, Verdonk is reportedly considering his next move, signaling a potential return to playing abroad.
