Calhanoglu hopes to move from Inter Milan to Galatasaray

Hakan Calhanoglu has reportedly requested Inter Milan to release him to Galatasaray club. This news emerged while Inter Milan was competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup — a tournament Calhanoglu couldn’t participate in due to recovering from injury sustained in last season’s Champions League final.

The Turkish national team midfielder — who was born and raised in Germany — has long harbored a desire to play in his ancestral homeland, despite spending his entire professional career outside Turkey.

Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta initially denied these transfer speculations.

“Calhanoglu acts like a professional. We cannot attribute anything negative to him. He is here with us,” Marotta told SempreInter.
