BWF Rankings: Indonesian Women’s Doubles Pairs See Significant Changes

The latest BWF rankings released this Tuesday revealed notable shifts in the Indonesian women’s doubles sector, with several pairs showing movement on the international leaderboard.

Top pair Febriana/Amallia drop after quarterfinals exit

Top-seeded duo Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi dropped one spot in the rankings following their early exit at the Thailand Open 2025, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals despite entering as the second seeds.

Rising performances from other Indonesian pairs

On the upside, two other national pairs showed encouraging progress. The pair Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti climbed three ranks, even though they exited in the round of 16. Meanwhile, the young duo Meilsya Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Allessya Rose also registered a positive ranking shift.

Women’s doubles yet to dominate globally

While Indonesia still holds seeded entries in several BWF World Tour tournaments, the women’s doubles division has yet to show the same dominance as the top 10 global pairs from other nations.
