Buriram United demonstrated their strength with a convincing 3-1 victory over BG Pathum United (BGPU) in the first leg of ASEAN Club Championship semifinal at Khao Kradong Stadium.

Osmar Loss‘s team showed dominance from the start. Supachai Jaided opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a shot deflected by Nika Sandokhadze. Though Ilhan Fandi equalized in the second half, Pansa Hemviboon quickly restored Buriram’s lead.

A spectacular goal by Guilherme Bissoli from 30 yards completed the home team’s victory. This performance marks Buriram’s resurgence after their earlier group stage loss to Công An Hà Nội.

Buriram now holds an ideal position ahead of the second leg on May 7. They remain competitive in three domestic competitions and will face Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League Elite quarterfinals.
