Bruno Fernandes rejects Al Hilal’s fantastic offer for Manchester United

Manchester United legend Teddy Sheringham has praised Bruno Fernandes who chose to stay at Old Trafford — rejecting a fantastic offer from a Saudi Arabian League club.

The 30-year-old Portuguese midfielder turned down an attractive proposal from Al Hilal during this summer’s transfer window. Cristiano Ronaldo’s rival club offered a salary worth 200 million pounds for a three-year contract to Fernandes.

Al Hilal, nicknamed The Blue Waves, was ready to pay a hefty fee to Manchester United to secure their key player’s signature. However, Bruno Fernandes decided to reject the offer as he’s not yet interested in joining the league often referred to as the “Retirement League” — alluding to the many European veteran players who have moved there.

“I really appreciate his decision to stay with United. It shows his commitment and loyalty to the club,” said Sheringham who defended The Red Devils from 1997 to 2001.
