Brunei Goalkeeper Concedes 8 Goals Against Indonesia U-23 in ASEAN Cup

In the opening match of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Brunei Darussalam goalkeeper Hasyim Norihwan had to endure a heavy 0-8 defeat against Indonesia U-23 national team.

The first half turned into a nightmare for Brunei — seven goals found their way into their net with five coming from Jens Raven, while Arkhan Fikri and Rayhan Hannan contributed one goal each.

Indonesia’s dominance was evident in their ball possession which reached 85 percent — compared to Brunei’s 15 percent.

“After conceding goals from Indonesia in the first half, players temporarily lost their confidence,” stated Brunei’s coach Aminudin Jumat during the press conference.

The visiting team’s performance improved in the second half — they only conceded one additional goal from Jens Raven.
