Brisbane Roar — a club owned by Bakrie Group — is facing scrutiny from the Australian public regarding its management commitment following a poor performance in the A-League 2024/25 season.

Nicknamed The Roar, the team finished 12th out of 13 clubs — collecting just 21 points from 26 matches. Despite the results, their top-flight status remains secure as the A-League does not implement a relegation system.

This marks the fourth consecutive season Brisbane Roar has ended in the bottom half of the table — including two finishes in the bottom two. These results are a far cry from their glory years when they won the A-League in 2011, 2012, and 2014.

This season, the club made a bold move by signing Rafael Struick, a player from the Indonesia national football team, who previously played for ADO Den Haag.
