Brisbane Roar, owned by Indonesia’s Bakrie Group, is enduring a difficult season in the 2024/25 A-League. With just 15 points from 24 matches, the team coached by Ruben Zadkovich sits in 12th place out of 13 teams.

Wellington Phoenix, just above them in the standings, has secured 24 points, while Perth Glory trails slightly behind with 14 points.

Despite the poor performance, Brisbane Roar faces no threat of relegation — as the A-League operates without a promotion/relegation system.

A major talking point for Indonesian fans is the situation of Rafael Struick. The Indonesia national team player has yet to earn significant playing time, despite joining the club with high expectations earlier this season.

His lack of appearances is raising concern among supporters who had hoped to see him flourish in Australia’s top-flight league.
